Partners

The center has partnered with many groups to provide as much support to cancer patients as possible.

Wellness Community Valley/Ventura
The Wellness Community provides a satellite office within the Cancer Resource Center that includes access to information, support groups, educational programs and wellness programs for patients in western Ventura county. It is the only facility of its type in the area.

American Cancer Society
Another key partner is the American Cancer Society. With help from the American Cancer Society, the Cancer Resource Center has put together a comprehensive cancer information packet with literature from the ACS and other cancer resources. In addition, ACS provides assistance with many of the programs, support groups and resources available at the center.

Local Physicians
A number of local physicians have also been instrumental in expanding the CMH Cancer Program. “We are thrilled with the opening of the Cancer Resource Center. It is an all-inclusive facility that offers a wide range of assistance for our patients,” Dr. Lynn Kong, CMH Cancer Committee Chair and Medical Oncologist at Ventura County Hematology Oncology Specialists, noted. “Having information and services easily available for our patients is critical to the treatment and recovery process,” Dr. Thomas Fogel, Radiation Oncologist at Cabrillo Radiation Oncology Center, explained. “Moreover, our community partnerships are truly an added asset to the Cancer Resource Center.
