Community Memorial Health System Names New VP for Operations

Adam Y. Thunell has joined Community Memorial Health System as the new Vice President of Operations and Chief Operations Officer.
A resident of Oxnard, Thunell, brings a decade of experience in hospital management and a wide range of skills and accomplishments to CMHS. For the past nine years, Thunell has worked as a high-level administrator with Cottage Health System in Santa Barbara, with his final position as Vice President. At Cottage, Thunell was involved in long-term planning, daily operations and community relations, and he oversaw support services and government relations as well as numerous other management duties.
Thunell earned his master’s degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota and his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Previously, in 1989, he was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He is married with four small children.
