CMHS Seminar to Focus on Dental Implant Advances

The latest advances in both the surgical and prosthetic phases of dental implants will be the focus of a free seminar the Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, March 25.
Local dentists Hooman M. Zarrinkelk and Saj Jivraj will cover modern solutions for replacing damaged and missing teeth during the seminar to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital at 147 Brent St. in Ventura.
Drs. Zarrinkelk and Jivraj will discuss how dental implants can preserve patients’ facial structures, save their healthy teeth and improve their quality of life as well as help them look younger.
Dr. Zarrinkelk is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon practicing in Ventura and Ojai, with emphasis on reconstructive and dental implant surgery. He is an assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University, where he received his medical training. Dr. Zarrinkelk is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Jivraj received his dental degree from the University of Manchester in England and his advanced prosthodontics at the USC School of Dentistry. He is a former chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics at USC and maintains a faculty position as Associate Clinical Professor. Dr. Jivraj maintains a private practice in Oxnard limited to implant, cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
