CMHS Seminar to Focus on Artery and Vein Diseases

Do you have problems walking? If so, you will want to attend Community Memorial Health System’s free seminar on Tuesday, April 15, that will focus on the various artery and vein diseases that affect the legs of both men and women.
Li Sheng Kong, M.D., who specializes in endovascular surgery and vein therapy, will lead the seminar that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital at 147 Brent St. in Ventura. Highlights will include problems that may occur with insufficient blood flow and the latest diagnosis and treatment options now available to restore blood flow, as well as treatments for varicose veins.
Dr. Kong is board certified in general surgery, board eligible in vascular surgery and a member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee and completed his vascular surgery fellowship and endovascular surgery fellowship at Emory University Department of Surgery in Atlanta, Ga.
