“Chemo brain” got you down? Forgetfulness and mental fog are sometimes experienced by people who have undergone chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. Although the symptoms are usually temporary, they can be frustrating and debilitating. Dr. Lorne Label will review the causes and manifestations of “chemo brain” symptoms, current medical research, risk factors, and treatment strategies. Dr. Label completed his degree in Internal Medicine and Neurology at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, followed by a Clinical Neuromuscular Fellowship at the USC Neuromuscular Center. He is a Clinical Professor of Neurology at UCLA and on staff at the UCLA Neurology Clinic. Dr. Label is the founder of the Brain Longevity Center in Thousand Oaks which provides an integrative medical approach to memory impairment. His practice specializes in Adult and Pediatric Neurology incorporating his Western and Eastern medical studies.
