Webcast on March 24 to focus on cancer and end-of-life care

Community Memorial Hospital will hold the Hospice Foundation of America’s 17th annual “Living with Grief” teleconference on Wednesday, March 24, in its eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium.
The live webcast will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Moderated by Frank Sesno, director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University, the webcast will address care options related to cancer diagnoses as well as loss and grief reactions for patients, families and professional caregivers. The teleconference will also examine the psychosocial aspects of cancer, pain management and ethical issues related to the disease.
Community Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Services is co-sponsoring the event with the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Dignity Memorial Providers of Ventura County.
