Community Memorial Health System Honors Employees

Community Memorial Health System honored 268 employees, including one for 40 years of service and three others who celebrated their 35th anniversary with CMHS, at its annual Service Awards Banquet.

CMHS recognized scores of employees who together have worked caring for patients and supporting healthcare in a variety of jobs at Community Memorial Hospital and Ojai Valley Community Hospital as well as at CMHS’s nine family-practice Centers for Family Health offices in Ventura County. This year’s awards banquet was held on June 25 at the Ventura Beach Marriott Hotel.

Susan Billings, RN III at OVCH’s Emergency Department was honored for 40 years of service, while Mary Howard, RN III at CMH’s Ambulatory Services; Janice Koevenig, Outpatient Radiology Supervisor at CMH; and Gregory Pollock, Assistant Director of Pharmacy at CMH were recognized for being with CMHS for 35 years.

Speakers included Dr. John V. Hill, Board of Trustees member; Dr. Samuel Small, CMH Chief of Staff; and Dr. John Slaght, OVCH Chief of Staff, who welcomed guests on behalf of the board and hospital medical staffs.

Scores of others were thanked for their service of 30 years, 25 years, 20 years, 15 years, 10 years and five years. 

Community Memorial Health System is a not-for-profit health system, which is comprised of Community Memorial Hospital, Ojai Valley Community Hospital, and nine family-practice health centers entitled Centers for Family Health. The health system is located in Ventura County, California.
