LEED-certified Vineyard CFH office sets Open House for Jan. 25
Oxnard, California, 01/11/2011
Community Memorial Health System is holding an open house for its new state-of-the-art and environmentally-friendly Vineyard Center for Family Health office on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The office, located at 2361 East Vineyard Ave., is expected to be awarded a LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – certification from the United States Green Building Council. To earn LEED certification, CMHS designed and built the Vineyard CFH using diverse green strategies in key areas of human and environmental health, including sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
“We feel that being green is connected to being healthy,” said Haady Lashkari, Assistant Vice President of CMHS. “It’s a beautiful clinic at a great location with a great use of recycled materials.”
At over 10,000 square feet, the new Vineyard site also is nearly twice the size of the CFH Citrus Grove office it has replaced, with more work stations and larger waiting rooms. And unlike its previous location, the new Vineyard office offers primary care and specialty care services in separate areas of the building. Specialty care areas include: internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric and women’s health, cardiology, psychiatry and rheumatology.
“It’s much more patient-friendly,” said Kimberly Bridges, Director of CFH Administration.
RSVP by Jan. 19 by calling 805/652-5385 or visiting www.cmhshealth.org/rsvp. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
