CMHS Seminar on Nov. 29 to Focus on Allergies and Asthma
Ventura California, 11/01/2011
Allergies and asthma, inflammatory conditions that are closely linked, will be the focus of a free seminar the Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Prashant Verma, a Ventura internist who is board-certified in Allergy and Immunology, will lead the seminar that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital, located at 147 Brent St. in Ventura.
Dr. Verma will provide a thorough overview of allergies and asthma, which affects 22 million Americans, causes 500,000 hospitalizations each year and has a significant impact on quality of life and the economy through lost productivity in the workplace.
Dr. Verma received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in Chicago and performed his fellowship at the Veterans Administration Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Center and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital Medical Staff.
Admission is free, but space is limited, so reservations are suggested. Call 652-5436, or visit www.cmhshealth.org/rsvp.
