Skin Cancer is Focus of CMHS Seminar Set for May 22

Skin cancer is the focus of a free seminar Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, May 22.
Arthur E. Flynn, M.D., a board-certified plastic surgeon, will lead the discussion that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at CMH, located at 147 N. Brent St. in Ventura.
Skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous carcinoma and malignant melanoma are the most common forms of cancer in the United States. The seminar will provide information on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin malignancies. Dr. Flynn also will cover aesthetic reconstruction following skin cancer.
Dr. Flynn completed his plastic surgery residency at New York University and his fellowship in physiology at the University of California, San Francisco. He is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
