CMHS to hold Free Weight Health Fair on January 5

Weight screenings, Body Mass Index, fat %, non-invasive blood pressure measurements, Pulse oximetry, non-fasting total cholesterol and glucose, and Nutritional information will be featured at the Community Memorial Health System Weight Health Fair on Saturday, January 5.
The free informational event will also feature expert speakers such as Dr. Helmuth Billy, vendors, a walk and screening booths. The event is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Community Memorial Health System Training Center located at 2908-A Main Street. Bilingual staff will be available. The walk will take place before the event begins from 8 to 9 a.m.
Those attending the event will learn about the challenges of being overweight and obese and ways to decrease weight with positive healthy lifestyle changes. Health topics will include: smoking cessation, exercise, stress reduction, chiropractic care and mini-stress massages. Prizes, giveaways and free refreshments will be provided.
