CMHS holds TEDMED Simulcast event April 18
Ventura, California, 04/10/2013
On Thursday, April 18 the public has been invited to attend a free live simulcast of "TEDMED Live," an annual conference focusing on health and medicine originating from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. sponsored by Community Memorial Health System.
The intent of the conference has been described as "a gathering of geniuses" that brings together innovative, thoughtful pioneers of healthcare technology, media, and entertainment to learn from one another and mix people up from different disciplines and industries to solve big problems in healthcare.
TEDMED Live will be held at the Museum of Ventura County, 100 E. Main Street in Ventura and consists of three sessions including a variety of topics and presenters:
- 1st Session: 8 a.m. to 9:45 "Going Farther while Staying Closer"
- 2nd Session: 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. "Thinking Outside the (Check) Box"
- 3rd Session: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. "Welcoming Death Into Life"

Seating is limited and reservations to attend the simulcast event are required.
