Joint Pain is the Focus of CMHS Seminar on Sept. 9

Joint pain caused by athletic injuries and arthritis will be the focus of a free seminar Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Jason Hofer, M.D., and Garrett Snyder, M.D., local orthopedic surgeons, will lead the seminar that will run from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital, 147 N. Brent St.
In addition to discussing the cause and diagnosis of joint pain, Drs. Hofer and Snyder will cover procedures and lifestyle modifications that can prevent joint pain as well as surgical treatment options, pain management and rehabilitation available to patients.
Dr. Hofer, who specializes hip and knee replacement surgery, received his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the California Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Snyder earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Both doctors are active members of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
