Ventura, California, 05/13/2015
On Saturday, June 6 Community Memorial Hospital will be holding a Cancer Survivors Day celebration to honor cancer survivors.
A “cancer survivor” is anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life, according to the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, which reports that an estimated 12 million Americans are cancer survivors.
The celebration includes lunch, program, entertainment, raffles and more. The event is a celebration of life and hope. The celebration will begin at 11:30 AM at the Ventura Beach Marriott located in Ventura.
The Cancer Resource Center, in conjunction with Community Memorial Hospital personnel and the American Cancer Society offers a variety of services designed to meet the needs of individuals faced with a diagnosis of cancer, as well as providing programs for family members, friends and the community-at large. These services are offered free of charge in a comfortable, non-hospital setting.
