Local healthcare excels
Ventura County Star
By Jenise Wagar, Ventura
At one point or another we've all read the headlines and seen the news about the demise of our country's healthcare system, including insurance complications and unpleasant hospital experiences.
Last month, I experienced quite the contrary in our own Ventura County and wanted to share my positive experience in the spirit of celebrating the innovative and quality healthcare in Ventura.
During my recent stay at Community Memorial Hospital, I was continually amazed at the high level of professionalism and compassion shown by the many staff I interacted with. From the staff at the pre-op facility to the nurses and doctors in the hospital, every encounter during my stay was pleasant. Insurance roadblocks that we continually hear about in the news simply did not exist.
Ventura should be proud that we have such capable doctors in our community, notably Dr. James Herman, and hospitals that offer state-of-the-art and compassionate care.
