Heart Health Month observed at CMH
In honor of February as Heart Health Month, Community Memorial Health System's HealthAware program will host an event at 10 a.m. Fri., Feb. 7 on the front lawn of the hospital, 147 N. Brent St., in Ventura.
The event is being held as part of the Go Red for Women campaign to celebrate National Wear Red Day and to raise awareness about heart disease, the nation's No. 1 killer.
Activities throughout the day will include free red dress embroidered sticker with blood pressure check, free reusable red bag for those wearing red, free body composition analysis and oneon one Q-and-A sessions with a registered nurse, physical therapist or dietitian from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. only.
