Hospital staff was wonderful
Ojai Valley News
by Jan McGhie
The morning of May 24 my 85-year-old mother, Eileen, was in terrible pain; she recently moved in with my husband and me from Ventura and her concern was she didn’t know anything about the hospital or the doctors. I decided to take her there since it was much closer than going to Ventura.
Our experience was amazing, from the young girl at the admitting desk to the very professional, friendly and funny Dr. Patterson and her nurse in the ER.
Many tests were run on my mother and Dr. Patterson decided she should be admitted.
Then we met the fabulous Dr. Constantine! He is a hospitalist, which is really wonderful because that meant my mother would have the same doctor the entire length of her stay, which was five days. She was very comfortable with this friendly, caring and thorough doctor.
Now for the nurses, I cannot say enough, they were the best! I want thank Alethea, Gail, Betsy and Gloria for taking excellent care of my mother (I know I have forgotten a few nurses and I apologize).
Bottom line is Ojai Valley Community Hospital’s staff were very professional, wonderful and caring.
P.S.: All this excellent care was going on during the remodeling without incident. Mom is doing well and we both would like to thank every one at OVCH!
