Lower extremity venous hypertension, or leg swelling, is an often underdiagnosed condition causing complications like clots, ulcers, pain and chronic life-threatening infections. While common among those who are obese, pregnant or have a family history, localized swelling may also be due to an expansion of body fluid in legs due to the effect of gravity. Dr. Gregory Albaugh specializes in vascular surgery. He received his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the Western University of Health Sciences in California and completed a residency at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. Dr. Albaugh is a member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
