Free Seminar – New Strategies for Preventing Stroke in AFib Patients

2018 Speaker Series

In the U.S. alone, atrial fibrillation (AFib) affects at least 2.7 million people. This erratic heartbeat can allow blood to pool, form a clot, and travel to the brain. Because of this, patients with AFib are five times more likely to have a stroke, but 75% of AFib-related strokes are preventable. Join us as Dr. Rao presents new strategies to prevent stroke in AFib patients.

Ishu Rao, M.D.
PRESENTED BY:
ISHU RAO, M.D.

He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, and completed an internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Dr. Rao is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
