According to the National Cancer Institute, there are about 56,000 new cases of thyroid cancer in the U.S. each year. Thyroid cancer has become one of the most common cancers especially in women. The risk factors, symptoms, tests, treatments and results for the most common thyroid cancers will be discussed in a relaxed informal setting with audience questions and participation encouraged.

Dr. Lueg specializes in otolaryngology. He received his M.D. from the University of Toronto. He trained in head and neck surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, otolaryngology at The University of Toronto, and surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is certified by the Medical Council of Canada, and he is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, and the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the Community Memorial Hospital medical staff.
