Harley Baker, PhD
Harley Baker has a longstanding interest and commitment to teaching and research. His teaching career has spanned every level of instruction from elementary school through doctoral study. He has held senior research positions at the American Institutes for Research, in the Federal Government, and at the University of California. He has been the recipient of awards and recognition both for his scholarship and his assistance to educational advocacy organizations. Harley completed his BA in psychology at CSU Stanislaus, the MA in psychology at San Jose State University, and the MS in developmental psychology at UC Santa Cruz. He received his Doctor of Education from the University of San Francisco. He is currently a Professor of Psychology at California State University Channel Islands. His current teaching and research interests include the psychology of religious experience, attachment, career development, and psychological testing. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife Connie, their children, and two grandchildren.
