Ronda Doonan, PsyD
Ronda L. Doonan, PsyD practices integrated care in the Midtown Medical Group community health clinic and is a member of the Graduate Medical Education faculty at Community Memorial Health Systems in Ventura, California. Her responsibilities include direct patient care in the Internal and Family medicine clinics, behavioral health education of residents, leading Balint groups for family medicine residents and research in the areas of behavioral health and physician wellness. Dr. Doonan is also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Social Medicine and Healthcare Leadership at Western University of Health Sciences where she is involved in medical student education and physician wellness research. Dr. Doonan is one of the founding faculty of the innovative Family Support Services clinical training program at Ronald McDonald Houses of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Stanford and Inland Empire. She continues to supervise and provide didactics for mental health trainees. Dr. Doonan maintains a private practice in Ventura, California specializing in Couple, Individual Adult, and Family therapy and is a volunteer with The Soldiers Project. Publications, presentations and areas of academic and clinical interest include the impact of chronic illness and/or physical disability on couple and family relationships, enhancing physician/patient relationships, and physician wellness.
