Douglas Woodburn, M.D.
Dr. Woodburn is originally from Columbus, Ohio, but has longstanding roots here in Ventura, California. He graduated from Buena High School here and attended University of California, Santa Barbara, earning a B.A. in Biological Science with Honors. He received his M.D. from New York Medical College, and returned to California for residency, doing both his internship and General Surgery residency at L.A. County-USC Medical Center. He finished in 1988 and returned to Ventura, becoming a vital part of the medical community here. He is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Society of Graduate Surgeons, L.A. County-USC Medical Center; the California Medical Association, and the Ventura County Medical Society as well as a former Chief of Staff of Community Memorial Hospital. He has an interest in medical education and is currently our Director of Medical Student Affairs.
