Joe Losh, D.O.
Dr. Joe Losh was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa and attended undergraduate school at the University of Iowa, where he graduated with a B.S. in neuroscience. He did his honors thesis on cortical synaptogenesis in the developing rodent brain. Joe went on to study at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, completing a master's degree in bioethics as well as a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Losh completed his internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Oregon before coming to CMH to begin his general surgery residency. Dr. Losh has been married since 2012, and his wife Helen works in education. Joe enjoys playing his guitar and piano in his spare time, as well as exploring his new home in southern California. However, true to his roots, he remains a loyal Iowa Hawkeye fan and Iowan and gets back to the Midwest to see friends and family whenever the opportunity arises.
