Kelly Fairbairn, D.O.
Dr. Kelly Fairbairn grew up near Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder where she received her Bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology. After graduation, she was hired as a research associate at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she worked in a translational critical care lab. She participated in a variety of projects focused in such areas as sepsis, anticoagulation, and vitamin D. She was able to present her research at national and international symposiums and publish a number of manuscripts and abstracts. During this time, she realized that research would not fulfill her desire to care for patients, so she chose to attend medical school at Touro University, California. Outside of academics, Kelly loves to travel, take her two dogs to the beach or for hikes, ski, enjoy great food and wine, and spend time with her husband, Adam. She is extremely excited about the opportunity to complete residency at Community Memorial Hospital and could not ask for a more supportive and balanced work environment. She is still considering further subspecialty but currently has an interest in pediatric surgery and trauma/critical care.
