Sa Vanna Baker Leyva, D.O.
Dr. Sa Vanna Baker Leyva was born and raised in Monterey, California. She attended California State University, San Francisco where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physiology with a minor in Chemistry. Prior to medical school, Sa Vanna worked as a scientist and project manager at Taxon Biosciences, which earned her publications and invaluable work experience. She received her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University, California. She is committed to working in underserved communities and has volunteered with multiple organizations abroad, from rural hospitals in South America to a medical internship on tropical diseases in Tanzania, Africa. Sa Vanna is an avid traveler and some of her most cherished memories are hiking Mount Kilimanjaro and living abroad in Ecuador. Outside of medicine, she enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with her husband and their dog Humphrey. Sa Vanna is passionate about community medicine, women’s health, and osteopathic manipulative medicine. She couldn’t be more excited to be joining CMH for family medicine and is honored to be serving this community.
