Brandon McKinney, D.O.
Dr. Brandon McKinney is a native Californian; raised in the Bay Area he grew up hiking, camping and playing baseball. He moved to southern California for undergraduate education at Biola University where he received a degree in Biology. He remained in Orange County to work as a medical scribe at an orthopaedic specialty hospital where he found mentors, who inspired him to become an orthopaedic surgeon. He attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and graduated with honors. Throughout each stage of his education he developed a passion for teaching – serving as a teaching assistant for various subjects, including anatomy, genetics, and ultimately clinical medicine at Western University. During his clinical years, he completed research projects in sports medicine and orthopaedic trauma. When not at the hospital he enjoys spending time with his wife, cooking, playing guitar, hiking, trail running, and generally anything that will keep him active and outdoors. He is excited to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Community Memorial Hospital of Ventura and looks forward to becoming part of the community.
