Melissa Davidson, RD, CSSD, CDCES
HealthAware Registered Dietitian and Personal Trainer

Ms. Melissa Davidson received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Loma Linda University in 2012. Since that time, she has also earned the designations of Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2019. Ms. Davidson has professional nutrition experience in many areas, such as acute care, bariatric surgery, diabetes care, weight loss and food intolerances. In addition, she has worked as a group fitness instructor since 2011 and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has been on staff with Community Memorial Health System since 2018.


Andrea Ricketts, RN, PHN, CDCES, MSN, ACNP-BC

Ms. Andrea Ricketts received her master’s in nursing and completed the acute care nurse practitioner program, specializing in cardiology, at University of California, Los Angeles in 2000. She interned at Ventura County Medical Center with various local cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons. She has been a registered nurse for over 42 years and a nurse practitioner for 20. Ms. Ricketts has been on staff at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) for 20 years in the ICU/CCU, serving as a registered nurse and also an ICU/CCU nurse supervisor for 10 years. Ms. Ricketts was the first cardiac nurse practitioner to be on staff at two local cardiology offices, prior to starting the HealthAware Program at CMH in 2008. Ms. Ricketts has been a national Certified Diabetic Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) since 2015 and is a preceptor to many RNs for four colleges. She is also highly involved with the community, promoting the HealthAware prevention program at CMHS and providing cardiovascular education to community organizations for stroke prevention.
